Mr. Pratt,

So nice to hear from you. I have Fred Demarais's obituary from the Stamford, CT. Daily Advocate of Mar. 7, 1919 which states that he died on Mar. 6, 1919 and was the major league ballplayer. Obituary also states that he grew up in Nashua, New Hampshire.

I also have a copy of his Connecticut death certificate. The death certificate states that he was born Nov. 1, 1866 to Joseph and Odette (Manard) Demarais in Canada. He was single at his death living with his brother Joseph Demarais at 18 State St. in Stamford. He was also survived by another brother Alexander and his parents. Prior to his illness which incapacitated him for eighteen months he had been working as a bartender. He is buried in either St. Johns (death certificate) or Springdale Cemetery (obit.) in the Stamford area.

I would be glad to send you a copy of the obituary and his death certificate if you will provide me with your address.

Rich Bozzone
